Updating this because my rankings most certainly changed after Season 14. I'm also going to include 4th place semi-finalists prior to S7 this time.

23rd: Cutter (S5)

Cutter and Tali both hold the record for the worst chefs to ever make it to the top 10, with Cutter easily being the worst semi-finalist in the history of MasterChef. I'm convinced they kept him to ensure the final three being Courtney, Elizabeth, and Leslie.

22nd: Alejandro (S11)

Same reason as my first list, although I will give him credit for improving a lot after the top 10.

21st: Samantha (S9)

Same reason as my first list.

20th: Noah (S10)

Same reason as my first list, even though he basically had a free ride to the top 10 due to how inconsistent and weak most chefs were this season (I'm probably one of the few people who thought S10 was a weak season).

19th: Reagan (S13)

Even though Reagan is among the weaker semi-finalists, I'd much rather have her in the finale over Jennifer, who was inconsistent through the competition and was saved numerous times.

18th: Lee (S1)

Same reason as my first list.

17th: Sheetal (S1)

Same reason as my first list.

16th: Suzy (S2)

Again, basically had a free ticket to the final four due to the lack of talent in this season.

15th: Christian (S2)

Same reason as my first list.

14th: Krissi (S4)

Easily the most hated chef, but even then she did have some talent and stood out on a few occasions.

13th: Emily (S12)

Same reason as my first list.

12th: Becky (S3)

Same reason as my first list.

11th: Frank (S3)

He's among the most talented chefs this season, I just don't think he's as good as the other ten, especially considering that this was an early season.

10th: Murt (S14)

This might be a surprise to put him this high up, but Murt in my opinion, is probably in my top 5 most improved chefs in the history of MasterChef. He started off from the bottom in the first few challenges, then out of nowhere, began dominating in the kitchen, similar to Alejandro in S11 (despite his improvement being overshadowed by the better dishes), but on an even bigger scale. I think him being in the finale would've been entertaining, but I don't think he was ready to win.

9th: Stephen (S6)

Same reason as my first list.

8th: Nick (S6)

A standout chef in a pretty forgettable season, I put him above Stephen simply because I felt that Nick would've had a better chance at beating Claudia in the final three challenge.

7th: Shanika (S12)

Same reason as my first list.

6th: Jessie (S4)

Same reason as my first list.

5th: Tanorria (S7)

Same reason as my first list.

4th/3rd: Leslie (S5) / Wayne (S13)

On my previous list, I put Leslie above Wayne because of his insane track record when it comes to pressure tests, but I realized that Wayne had just as crazy of a track record, ever since dodging elimination in the top 13, he's been winning challenges like crazy. He won the fish challenge in the top 11, won the patio grilling challenge in the top 9, won the wall challenge with Grant in the top 8, and led his team to victory during the restaurant takeover, as well as being on the winning team of every team challenge (excluding the tag team challenge, but I don't really consider that as a traditional "team challenge"). I honestly can't really decide who's better, so I just decided to tie them both.

2nd: Cate (S8)

On my previous list, I put her as the best semi-finalist due to her avoiding being in the bottom throughout the season, but she's been brought down to second place due to one other chef's surprising elimination.

1st: Rebecka (S14)

When I watched S14, I could've sworn that both Rebecka and Michael were locks for the finale with the third spot being up for grabs for basically anyone in the top 10. She's had a similar run to Grant, having a strong performance to begin with, and even after struggling later on, she managed to bounce back in the wall. If this were any other season, she would've won, hands down.

Warning, this next post will start with a bit of a Rant; as if you can't tell by the title alone, I'm not particularly happy about the end result and I know this may trigger some people, including the admins themselves (albiet the latter is probably just for the sake of keeping the fandom as positive as possible). Well I'm sorry to say that I can't fufill any promises without lying about how I feel by simply keeping my opinions to myself. So in case that applies to you, feel free to skip this post entirely. ............... To all Producers of MC US Version, is it just me or are you really taking the F*cking piss out of this one here? Another Millennial Winner, Another Underwhelming Finale, Another Season with loads of missed potential thrown down the F*cking Toilet, Another batch of "controversial" eliminations from certain challenges that have been deeply unpopular with the MC Fanbase for quite some time (cough cough The Wall Challenge cough cough). Look I had this Rant Planned out all the way back in Season 13, but I didn't release it back then because I feared it would come off poorly. Not To mentioned that that season had a much better outcome then whatever the F*ck this Sh*t is, so it was not really worth complaining about; but now with the Season 14 finale out, you best believe that the gloves are f*cking off now. Like so much promotion of this season giving hopes to Generations like the Baby Boomers who as stated in my post about the Oversaturation of Millenials, haven't had a single W to their name since the very beginning of the competition or even to slightly more established Generations like Gen X or Gen Z; only for us as the audience to be tricked in the worst f*cking way possible and for those hopes to be thrown away like that? Are you Sh*tting me? You spent so much promotion on equality for all generations but don't even bother to stick the landing on it? Like there's literally no f*cking reason for you guys to be this tone deaf and creatively bankrupt, especially with the loads of potential that's right there in front of your god damn eyes that for some reason you decided not to take advantage both in this and in last season. Like why the f*ck did you guys not take advantage of the golden opportunity that was introducing a 4 person finale for the 1st time in the shows history (1 from each region in the case of Season 13 & 1 from each generation in the case of Season 14 respectively)? Do you realize that by taking advantage of said opportunity, you'd be doing yourselves a favor and help boost you ratings significantly; which lets be honest, have been on a steady decline since Season 11? I know some of you reading this may be like Who cares, as long as the season is good? I CARE. As a matter in fact, I care so much that I made this post with the hopes that in future seasons, things will improve for the better. Like are you f*cking kidding me? Of course people are going to care; and even despite the fact that many may not do the same approach that I'm doing which is this rant, they're still going to have some things to say regardless. It's a stupid f*cking argument. Now I really hope that Inspite of this tirade, you do manage to take this criticism in and adjust accordingly so that we don't run into the same mistakes again.

I'm looking at chefs who were eliminated in the second MasterChef challenge from their respective seasons. I'm not looking at chefs that were involved in a double elimination in the first elimination challenge, as I considered them to be first boots (so no Avis/Sheena, no Angel/Mark, no Mateo/Briana, no Sid/Sal, and no Deanna/Kenny)

15th: Annai (S11)

Consistently poor performer, started off with promise, but had no chance of winning.

14th: Bill (S7)

Also a consistently poor performer, as he had two bottom entries in the same episode which led to his elimination.

13th: Dave (S3)

How do you forget to clean up the mushrooms in your dish...

12th: Richie (S13)

Another consistently poor performer in a relatively weak season, but the thing about Richie is that I think he had potential, he knew he messed up in the second challenge, but had to lie his way out of his mistakes. If Kendal left over him, I think he would've remained in the middle for a few more episodes and probably make top 15.

11th: Whitney (S5)

My apologies, to the meatloaf.

10th: Jenna (S1)

She could've been in the bottom of the first challenge, and was eliminated in the ingredient identification challenge. I think she had potential, as I think that challenge should've given each chef three chances to get an ingredient correct.

9th: Paige (S8)

Definitely had the most extreme elimination of that season, but I think she wasn't experienced at the time and entered the competition too early.

8th: Darah (S6)

She could've survived a lot longer if she didn't shoot herself in the foot and give up immunity in the team challenge.

7th: Tony (S2)

Tony definitely had potential and was eliminated too early. I would've loved to see him last a lot longer in the competition. Rest in peace as well Tony.

6th: Stephanie (S9)

Stephanie probably would've survived in a single elimination over Olusola, but I don't think she would've lasted longer than her if they were both given a second chance.

5th: Adriana (S4)

Adriana would've lasted longer on a less talented season, this season wasn't the right one for her. I think if given a second chance, she could've been like Michael from S10 and actually stood out.

4th: Kimberly (S10)

I forgot about her, but I think she was a decent chef.

3rd: Olusola (S9)

Being offered an apron from all three judges made her a potential frontrunner, and I think she should've been invited back in Back To Win and given a second chance.

2nd: Cate (S12)

I put Stephen at number 1 in the First Boot Rankings list because he had a lot of potential to make it far and was eliminated from the same dish that got him eliminated in S6, but for Cate, she misses the number 1 spot here because she failed to properly bake her dish enough and it was undercooked.

1st: Sunshine (S14)

If I'm not mistaken, Sunshine is the only one to have a top entry prior to being eliminated here, and was one of the stronger Gen X chefs. I thought she would be in the bottom in the first challenge, but proved me wrong. I think if given a second chance, she would've lasted a lot longer.

6th: Murt

Murt's probably the most improved chef in this season, and based on the preview for the next episode, he's going to be the captain for the red team (minor spoilers: Rebecka and Michael are also on the red team, and Becca, Adam, and Kamay are on the blue team, with Becca being the team captain). However, Ramsay is also seen removing Murt from being team captain, so unless the red team wins, he's guaranteed to be eliminated here.

5th: Kamay

I don't really think Kamay is going to make it to the finale, so this is where she'll be eliminated in the semifinals.

4th: Becca

I'm still relying on my 50/50 theory for Adam or Becca being in the finale, and while Adam did struggle in the wall challenge, I think he's still a pretty strong chef, so he might represent Gen Z in the finale over Becca.

3rd/2nd: Adam/Rebecka

Even though I said Adam might have the edge over Becca, I know for a fact that whoever the Gen Z representative is in the finale, they are 100% NOT going to win as they are not as experienced as the other chefs, which leaves Rebecka or Michael as the winner. Considering Rebecka struggled in two consecutive challenges, and remained in the middle afterwards, I think she'll be the runner-up alongside Adam.

1st: Michael

Michael is probably one of the strongest chefs in this season, and I think he might end up winning, as he performs pretty strongly under pressure.

Also, my prediction for everyone having at least one bottom entry this season came true, as in episode 14, Hallie, Kimberly, and Warren had a bottom entry, and in episode 15, Michael and Horacio had a bottom entry.

Updating this since we're down to our final 10 chefs in Season 14. I'm making some changes from my choices last time as well as including honorable mentions for best chefs that didn't make the top 10. For season 14, I'll only be looking at what happened up to the recent episodes

I'm currently watching Masterchef season 14 generations on the CTV website.

10th/9th: Hallie/Murt

Next episode is confirmed to be a double elimination (I mean there's really no choice since the episode after that is The Wall). I just cannot see Hallie making it further than this episode as she hasn't stood out much for me, and as for Murt, yes he's been improving, recently having multiple top entries, but I find him to be too inconsistent to make it further.

8th/7th: Warren/Horacio

Unfortunately, the wall episode is going to be yet another double elimination (seriously, why can't it be like season 11 where the one most responsible for the team's downfall gets eliminated?), and my guess is that whoever wins the previous challenge will pair these two together as they are the biggest personalities in the kitchen and will most likely clash with each other, taking them out of the competition.

6th: Kamay

Ever since the quarry episode and the tag team episode, I've felt a little indifferent about Kamay, but I think she'll survive the wall episode and finish 6th.

5th: Kimberly

Kimberly being eliminated here will mean that as of the semifinals, everyone from Gen X will be eliminated, increasing the ranking from the last fully eliminated group (northeast) from 7th to 5th. Kimberly's a good chef, but I don't think she's finale material like the other four chefs.

4th: Becca

In my previous predictions, I said that it's a 50/50 for Adam or Becca to be in the finale, and I'm still sticking with my prediction for Becca to be eliminated just before the semifinals, as I find Becca to be less experienced than the remaining three chefs.

3rd/2nd: Adam/Rebecka

Adam and Rebecka have been on a downward spiral recently, as they had two bottom entries this week, but I think they're going to be able to recover enough for them to make it to the finale. For me, I think Adam is most definitely not going to win, and Rebecka might just barely lose.

1st: Michael

I still think Michael has the highest chance of winning this season, as he's been standing out a lot recently with two immunity pins, and I think he's able to work under pressure well.

I'm also still keeping my prediction of everyone having at least one bottom entry, because as of now, the number of chefs yet to have a bottom went from seven to five, with those five being Hallie, Horacio, Kimberly, Michael, and Warren. Out of these five, I think Hallie has the highest chance of having a bottom entry next, as aside from me predicting her to be the next boot, she hasn't stood out recently, so I think her having a bottom dish (and likely her only bottom dish) will get her eliminated, unless of course, they pull a Sav from previous season and have her remain in the middle for the rest of the season.

12th: Daniela

Unfortunately, despite having a top dish in a previous challenge, this comeback seems to be short-lived and she's been on a pretty big downward spiral which will likely get her eliminated in the upcoming tag team challenge, likely due to her struggling with Horacio (in the preview, she's on the green team with him) leaving Kimberly as the last person to represent Gen X.

11th: Jeet

Another chef who's been struggling as of these previous few episodes (although her top 14 dish being in the bottom was only because of the format, Warren would've been in the bottom instead of her otherwise) and will just barely miss out on top 10.

10th/9th: Hallie / Murt

Ok, this double elimination might be confusing, but according to the upcoming episodes in Wikipedia, in order for there to be exactly eight chefs for the upcoming wall challenge, a double elimination has to take place at some point in the next three episodes. For Hallie, even though she had a top dish recently, I don't think she stands out, so she'll probably be going home soon, and for Murt, his comeback might be short-lived, just like Daniela, which means he'll probably be eliminated right before the wall.

8th: Horacio

I'm going to make a bold prediction and say that the wall this season might be a single elimination for once (and if I'm right, thank goodness because I find it unfair for a double elimination in one of the hardest challenges in MasterChef). Horacio's elimination will likely be due to him not communicating effectively in this challenge.

7th: Kamay

She's clearly one of the stronger chefs here, but she'll probably be eliminated just before the restaurant takeover challenge.

6th: Kimberly

Her elimination here will result in the Gen X team being fully disbanded, she's a strong chef, but I don't see her outlasting the other chefs. Can be interchanged with Warren.

5th: Warren

Assuming that the semifinals is yet another double elimination, Warren's elimination will be due to him not being able to keep up with the other chefs. Can be interchanged with Kimberly.

4th: Becca

Out of the remaining Gen Z chefs, either Adam or Becca could be in the finale, but I think Adam has a higher chance. Yes, him and Becca were in the bottom in the LAFC field challenge (Adam due to the issues on the grill and Becca for failing to lead the team to victory), and Becca earned an immunity pin while Adam didn't, but I think Adam is starting to stand out and be a frontrunner, as Michael gave him immunity in the top 14 challenge, thinking that he'll win it for Gen Z. It's still a 50/50 for which Gen Z chef will be in the finale.

3rd/2nd: Adam / Rebecka

Adam's inexperience compared to Rebecka and Michael will definitely make him a runner-up if he makes it to the finale, and Michael just might barely have the edge over Rebecka in the finale.

1st: Michael

He's been starting to stand out recently, and I think he'll just barely win it over Rebecka. Also, completely unrelated, but I find it strange that the recent MasterChef seasons had a Michael in the finale (S12: Back To Win and JS9 being those seasons, both Michaels were runner-ups in their respective season)

Also, another prediction I'm throwing in is that this will be another season in which everyone has at least one bottom performance (so far, the chefs that have yet to be in the bottom are Hallie, Horacio, Kamay, Kimberly, Warren, Rebecka, and Michael, with Warren most likely being in the bottom over Jeet in the top 14 challenge if Rebecka didn't save him. There's still plenty of time for them to have a bottom entry)

While I do admit I didn’t like Christian at all on Masterchef USA Season 2, Jennifer I don’t think really should’ve won. She was by far the worst chef out of the final 3. If anything Christian was robbed. Don’t get me wrong Christian i absolutely disliked. But Christian was the best chef out of the remaining 3. He was robbed. Jennifer I didn’t dislike or anything. I just found Jennifer ok in my opinion. But judging cooking she should’ve been eliminated 3rd place then Adrian 2nd place and then Christian should’ve won. If you guys agree or disagree you can let me know in the comments down below. I’m just stating my personal opinion

HONORABLE MENTION: Michael Silverstein (Season 10)

I'm giving an honorable mention to Michael because while he definitely was a strong chef, he unfortunately struggled to work with Liz in that tag team challenge. At least he got a second chance in the Back To Win season, making it all the way to the finale.

10th: Lynn Chyi (Season 4)

Season 4 is probably one of, if not the most talented season so far. Lynn is one of those chefs who was seen as a threat. However, he only gets number 10 because of his downward spiral, and making one of the worst dishes in MasterChef history which got him eliminated.

9th: Mike Newton (Season 8)

Another chef from a really strong season, Newton's elimination is a pretty controversial one and even though he had some lows prior to that challenge, I think he could've easily made top 10, maybe even top 5 on a weaker season.

8th: Amanda Saab (Season 6)

I know people see Dan as the strongest, but I think Amanda was just slightly better, although maybe that's because I found season 6 to be pretty forgettable and because Dan couldn't show his full potential due to his early exit. She only gets 8 on this list because of her cake that got her eliminated. She's definitely improved in Back To Win, as she managed to make it to the top 8.

7th: Alejandro Toro (Season 7)

Can be interchanged with Andrea, Alejandro had the best lobster in that skills test and was seen as a threat. I put him below Andrea because of his downward spiral before his elimination.

6th: Andrea Galan (Season 7)

Can be interchanged with Alejandro, Andrea's elimination happened because she served her dish late. What's even sadder is that she had the best sausage dish in that challenge and Diamond would've 100% went home. Although to be fair, I kinda don't feel bad for her elimination because of the way she treated Nathan throughout the season.

5th: Nina Interlandi Bell (Season 13)

I know a lot of people see Kyle as the strongest chef to miss the top 10 in this season, but me personally, I only saw Kyle making it to top 6. But for Nina, I saw her as someone who could've been a finalist. In my opinion, Charles should've gone home over her. It's a shame that we had strong chefs go home early like Nina, Kyle, and even Purvi and Ryan, while there were too many weak chefs that outstayed their welcome, some even somehow making it to the top 10.

4th: Anna Johnson (Season 14)

One of the most recent eliminations, Anna's audition dish is easily the best one in the season, and just like Nina, I thought she could've made it really far, although I didn't expect her to make it to the finale as Season 14 in my opinion is a lot more talented than Season 13. Anna only went home in a double elimination. If it wasn't for the double elimination, Geags would've been the one gone and Anna would've stayed.

3rd: Mary Jayne Buckingham (Season 11)

Season 11 is a very weak season, although I can't really fault it as it was filmed during the pandemic. However, Mary Jayne had the best signature dish in that season, which shows that she was someone to watch out for. If she stayed, I think the final four would've been her, Kelsey, Autumn, and Suu.

2nd: Brien O'Brien (Season 8)

Brien was a pretty strong chef this season, although his overconfidence is what eliminated him in his last challenge. Despite this, I think he could've been a finalist in a weaker season.

1st: Bime Cruz (Season 4)

In my opinion, the strongest chef to miss the top 10 is Bime. This guy was definitely underestimated in this season. His elimination shouldn't even resulted in his elimination (it only happened because of Krissi). Even after his elimination, he was invited back in the reinstatement challenge, only to lose against Bri. Do I think he would've won this season? Probably not, because of how talented most of the other chefs are, but if this were any other season, Bime would've been a finalist for sure.

For this ranking list, I'll only be including those that were eliminated right before the finale, so I won't be including semifinalists like Krissi, Suzy, or Frank, but I will include 5th placers like Emily and Wayne as they were eliminated on the episode before the finale.

16th: Alejandro (S11)

He got really lucky to make it to the semifinals, but to be fair, S11 wasn't a talented season, so he didn't need to do much, even if he somehow outlasted people like Abe and Tay.

15th: Reagan (S13)

Another chef that got lucky to make it to the final four, let alone top 10. She had promise at first, but never stood out for the rest of the competition and was lucky to survive The Wall challenge.

14th: Samantha (S9)

Too many bottom entries to be any higher.

13th: Noah (S10)

Inconsistent, but not terrible inconsistent.

12th: Lee (S1)

Can be interchanged with Sheetal.

11th: Sheetal (S1)

Can be interchanged with Lee.

10th: Christian (S2)

He was probably one of the more talented chefs in S2, but that doesn't say much as S2 was a weak season. On a more talented season like S4, S7, or S8, he doesn't even make top 10.

9th: Emily (S12)

Any of these chefs in the top 9 can be interchanged with one another as they were all really strong chefs in their respective seasons, but I put Emily at number 9 mainly because I didn't find her growth from S9 to be that significant.

8th: Stephen (S6)

Another strong chef, but I did have to bring him down a few spots since he initially didn't earn an apron and only made it in due to him and Shelly getting a second chance.

7th: Becky (S3)

She was a really strong chef this season, but unfortunately was also a bit inconsistent, which is why she doesn't get a higher spot than 7th.

6th: Shanika (S12)

Shanika definitely grew as a chef this season compared to S9, and went from one of the weaker chefs in the top 10 in S9 to one of the strongest in S12. I put her above Emily because I think Shanika had more growth as a chef.

5th: Jessie (S4)

Despite her having a couple bottom entries, I can understand that since S4 was one of the more stacked seasons in terms of talent. Also really good in team challenges.

4th: Tanorria (S7)

Should've made the finale over David.

3rd: Wayne (S13)

This is probably me being biased as Wayne is easily my favorite chef in S13, but he was one of the strongest chefs that season, and even if he had a couple bottom entries (like him getting saved in the first challenge), he was able to make up for it by having multiple top entries and winning several challenges. Also, if I'm not mistaken, I think he's the only chef this season to win every team challenge (as in team challenges outside the MasterChef kitchen, so excluding the Tag Team and The Wall, but he did win the latter with Grant)

2nd: Leslie (S5)

He makes it this far due to him surviving the most pressure tests. He might not have won S5, but he definitely is a winner in my eyes.

1st: Cate (S8)

I'm gonna be honest, I could've put anyone in the top 5 on the number 1 spot, but I gave it to Cate mainly because she's the only one out of all these semifinalists to not have any bottom entry, as she was only eliminated in the semifinals challenge against Dino. If S8 wasn't such a talented season, she definitely would've won the season.
