Adam Liaw was an ordinary lawyer who absolutely loved cooking Australian-Malaysian food. His passion for food inspired him to apply for MasterChef Australia where he completely transformed his life.[1]

- After MasterChef, he wrote a cookbook called Two Asian Kitchens in April 2011.
- He won the Uncle title by Uncle Roger for making his Yuenyeung Fried Rice.[2]
