Farhan Momin was a contestant on Season 9 of MasterChef and was mentored by Aarón Sánchez. He ranked in 6th place.

Personality

Farhan was shown to be a very gentle and polite individual. He was also seen as one of the frontrunners in the competition, due to his vast knowledge of various spices, even being affectionately named the "spice boy" by the judges. In the kitchen, he consistently put in strong performances despite some slip-ups in the beginning and end of the competition. However, his biggest obstacle was handling intense pressure, which turned against him in his final pressure test, ultimately leading to his elimination. He never got in quarrels with any other home cooks, allowing him to get along with essentially everybody in the competition. He specifically developed strong friendships with Gerron, Ashley, Emily, and Julia.

Post MasterChef

• After his appearance, he returned to Midwestern University, Downer's Grove to complete his education and studies in dentistry.
  • He graduated in March 2019 and qualified as a Dentist.
• He offers private chef and catering services and has done guest appearances, cookery events and classes and pop up dinners alongside working as a dentist.
• Since graduating, he relocated from Chicago to Georgia and has opened Atlanta Halal Meat & Food in Suwanee, Georgia.

• He was the first eliminated contestant in his season to open up a restaurant after competing on the show.
