Christine Corley was a contestant on Season 2 of MasterChef. She ranked in 8th place.

Personality

Christine was best remembered for her erratic and outspoken personality and unfiltered and often brazen language. She was also known for being tenacious and hardworking. She came into the competition with a lot of heart and energy, and with a fearless personality when it came to her difficult past and current life as a single mother. She was frequently underestimated, seen as uncontrollable and volatile, although she delivered when it came to most Team Challenges. She was specifically disliked by Suzy, the latter believing she was more talented than the former.

Entering the Top 9, she excelled in the pork Invention Test, winning her first individual challenge.

Episode 14

As a team captain for the following Team Challenge cooking for a neighborhood of children, she was victorious there as well.

Episode 15

She was sent home in a double elimination, along with Derrick, during the grilled cheese and tomato soup Invention Test after failing to impress the judges.

Post MasterChef

• After her appearance, Christine was a line chef before launching her own private chef services business. She returned to college to study for a Criminal Justice/Corrections degree. In June 2019, she was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver, and was estimated to have six months to a year left to live. Twitch streamer Hasan Piker donated $10,000 to her GoFundMe after growing attached to her while reacting to the second season on his Twitch channel. The support of his audience along with his sizable donation was enough to reach her goal of $30,000.
