Personality

Despite his intimidating appearance, Derrick was shown to be a kind and easygoing person, never getting into any conflicts with any other contestants. However, he is well-liked by fans primarily due to his humility, as he never boasted or bragged when he won or excelled in any challenges. In the kitchen, he started out strong, often excelling in both individual and team challenges during the first half. However, during the second half, despite having flashes of brilliance he was overall inconsistent, and was eventually eliminated after a downward spiral.
