Francis Biondi
Francis Biondi is a contestant in MasterChef Season 5. He is a server from Orlando, Florida.

In the first episode of MasterChef season 5, Gordon Ramsey explained to the contestants that they will all be tested on their cooking skills to determine whether they will receive a black apron. Not all of them would make it through they hour. Few were immediately banished. Francis B received an apron. The several remaining were given a second chance to receive an apron and most of them did. Francis B. was one of the immediate front-runners. When cooking on teams for 500 American soldiers, Francis B was picked to be the captain of the red team because he had the best dish in the last challenge. When cooking on a team for a MasterChef wedding, captain Leslie Gilliams had poor leadership and Francis Biondi took over leadership and turned it right around. The red team still lost and Francis B, had to perform in a pressure test because even though he had strong leadership his team still lost. Courtney Lapresi and Christine Silverstein were giving Francis B advice to create a compund butter for his steak because they didn't like Leslie. He also seared his steak with a blow torch afterwards and he was saved. When making doughnuts, Francis B's formed into balls more like doughnut holes. But Ahran Cho got to pick one person to save from elimination and take up to the balcony and she chose Francis B, probably because she noticed that he didn't have a very good output and either felt pity for him, or decided that he wasn't tough competition.

Since Courtney did the best in the last challenge, she got to pair everybody up in pairs to cook a dish. Courtney paired Francis up with Christian Green, another front runner, because Courtney believed that if you pair up two egos together, their personalities will clash and get away from the cooking.  Christian thanked Courtney because Francis is a good cook. Their dish wasn't great and both of them had to face a pressure test with Dan Wu and Cutter Brewer who have also failed the challenge. Their cooking assignment was spring rolls. Francis B's were stringy on the inside. The judges decided decided to sent home Francis B. He was eliminated in 15th place.
