Growing up on a farm near Toowoomba in rural Queensland has made James Bell a passionate advocate for local produce and sustainability.
Inspired by his mum’s cooking, James got stuck into cooking around age 12, but it was during his teens when he became more serious and hands-on about it.
Living with his dad during high school, it was James who took the reins in the kitchen, ensuring the boys didn’t go hungry. With a steady supply of beef from the farm, steak was a favourite.
After school, James completed a Bachelor of Business Majoring in Economics and Finance at Queensland University of Technology. He managed to overcome an initial lack of motivation with his studies to pass and begin his career as a financial analyst in banking.[1]
