Lindsay Haigh was a contestant on Season 9 of MasterChef and was mentored by Aarón Sánchez. She ranked in 16th place. She returned for Season 12: Back to Win, but failed to receive an apron.

Personality[]

Lindsay had very little screen time during her time in the MasterChef kitchen, and was a consistently middle-of-the-pack performer. Despite being passionate, it could never truly be shown as she never stood out much and was always on the losing team in team challenges. She was confident that she could survive her final Invention Test due to her knowledge of frozen meals, but ultimately, she served a dry Salisbury Steak with dried Mushrooms that was deemed disgusting, and resulted in her elimination.

Quotes[]

Season 9[]

  • (After being eliminated) "I think I'm a true testament to the fact that you're never too old to start following a new dream. I'm a successful trial attorney and you know what, I was successful into making it to MasterChef, so I'm going home to my beautiful wife and we're going to continue with our culinary dream of having a that Bed & Breakfast and fine dining restaurant on Cape Cod."

Season 12[]

  • "On Season 9, I don't think that anybody got to see what kind of cook I could become in the kitchen, but MasterChef was a springboard to catapult me into a culinary world full-time. Before MasterChef, I was an attorney. After MasterChef, I own and operate a bakery and café with my wife Stephanie."
  • (After failing to receive an apron) "Listen, it's not the desired outcome, but I'm leaving MasterChef with a great sense of pride. I went out there, I killed it, so I walk away with my head held high."
