Mary Berg was a contestant on Season 3 of MasterChef Canada. She became the Official Winner, becoming the first female winner in the franchise, and was awarded the MasterChef trophy and a salary of $100,000. From Season 8, she became the judge of the series.
Personality[]
Mary was one of the strongest cooks of the season since the start of the competition, and a top-notch dessert baker. She landed into the bottom twice, but otherwise had a great run on the show. Her cooking was adventurously inventive and innovative, and she was always very joyful, kindhearted, supportive, as well as determined. She developed strong friendships with most of the other contestants, especially Matthew and Jeremy, although she briefly had a dislike for Sean for his stubborn interference in their first team challenge, causing their team to face the first Pressure Test.

- After her appearance, Mary now has her own CTV show and runs her own catering company.
- She became a judge on the upcoming MasterChef Canada replacing Michael. She will be the third contestant after Andy Allen from MasterChef Australia and Christine Ha from MasterChef Vietnam.
