Ralph Xavier Degala, or simply Ralph Degala, was a contestant on Season 9 of MasterChef and was mentored by Joe Bastianich. He ranked in 13th place.

Personality

Ralph was a very nice guy with a big heart and an immense passion for cooking, stating that his dream was to start a Filipino restaurant. He was generally a strong cook throughout the competition, but struggled during his final night when he didn't give himself enough time to execute an intricate dessert, which led to his elimination. He got along with all of his fellow home cooks and developed a strong friendship with his mentor, Joe.

• After his appearance, Ralph was an accountant at Kendo Brands. He has done a number of dining events and pop up dining experiences in LA. Ralph has a Youtube channel where he posts cookery videos.

• With 3 wins, he currently holds the record for most challenge wins out of a contestant to finish 13th place
  • He shares this distinction with Beth (Season 4) and Sam (Season 10).
