Season 9 of MasterChef Indonesia aired on RCTI between January 22 and April 24, 2022.
The 3 judges, Arnold Poernomo, Juna Rorimpandey, & Renatta Moeloek, returned from the previous season.
Content Creator Cheryl Gunawan was crowned the winner beating Cafe Owner Palitho Aventus.
Changes[]
- Audition Format: This season, there are changes to the jury's assessment in the stage audition round. If all the judges give a "Yes" rating to the results of a prospective participant's cooking, then the participant will automatically proceed to the MasterChef Gallery round without going through the Boot Camp round. Meanwhile, if 2 of the 3 judges give "Yes", then the participant must go through the Boot Camp round first.
- Meanwhile, there is confirmation of the rules for this season's Gallery round. If there is a contestant who does not finish cooking in the first or second challenge, that contestant automatically enters the pressure test.
- 22 Contestants: This season, the number of contestants increased from 18 to 22.
